Amazing ,immaculate and cozy

We have had the privilege to spend 2 nights at this beautiful historic cottage. 5 stars isn’t enough. The eye for detail is incredible. It’s immaculate, the bed is so comfortable, coffee machine is a real bonus. Sam & Sue have done an amazing job keeping this place authentic. Can’t recommend more highly.

Fabulous night at Madam Saddlers.

Hi Sam , thank you so very much for a fabulous night at Madam Saddlers we just loved it!

It would be wonderful if the original 1800's owners of Madam Saddlers could see the beautiful restoration their cottage has under gone. Encompassing every detail from the 1800's Madam Saddlers transports you back in time with the luxury of today's comforts.
It is no surprise that it has taken the currant owners so long to ensure that every detail is perfect, every where you look you discover another visual treat. Such a wonderful accomplishment combining two very different era's to create a warm, comforting and inviting B & B with everything you will need for a memorable stay.

Wow! Just Wow!! We just spent the most amazing two nights here. The welcome from Sam and his family when we arrived was lovely! The fire was roaring (very necessary on a cold Clunes night) and it was so cosy! The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need - so we settled in with a home cooked roast dinner, wine, whiskey & board games - which made for a perfect night one! On first morning we were lucky to be there for the monthly farmers market (2nd Sunday each month) - literally at your doorstep! We had fresh juices and pastries, I bought origami earrings made be a local that are so cool! We went for the day to Sovereign Hill (that was great), and stayed for the evening sound & light show (didn’t find that was worth the price - wouldn’t recommend). However the best thing was coming home to the fire going! Sam kindly offered to pop in and start it up a little before we came home! Well above and beyond what we expected, and so appreciated on a 0oC night! The house had the most gorgeous linens, cutlery, glassware etc., we really did feel spoilt! The photos almost don’t do the place justice as it’s just so beautiful inside and out. The only thing I would warn people about - is the total relaxation you’ll have with no internet or phone reception (if you’re on Optus network like we were). However we enjoyed every minute of not being contactable 😉 Bring games, dvds and music; as the TV, DVD and Sound bar are there if you need them. Check out the Mount Beckworth Wines at their cellar door across the road (I bought a couple of their Shiraz 2014 - delish), and the BLT was AMAZING at Bread and Circus Provedore (the Pesto scramble eggs were a bit average). Thank you Sam for a truly memorable stay!
